I gotta point out that the videos didn't look the way this trailer make it seem they did when they were first released. They didn't have that 80s aesthetics to them and it's just impossible that digital files would have deteriorated to the point of having that weird look - that was added with a computer to make it seem like they did a miraculous remastering work when presenting the new format. At most those scenes were like 560p or something and they just did a new encoding where they got the scenes to 1080p. If you played both scenes in 560p and 1080p side by side you'd see that thew newer versions would look sharper, better colors and much more vibrant (audio should be better too), but the old ones wouldn't look that terrible.

From what I've read, the videos were already recorded in Full HD when produced and they downsized them for the website, so it'd be easier for people to watch and download them. They also converted the 3D videos back to 2D... but I'd not able to tell you if cameras that filmed/recorded in 3D captured stuff in Full HD then. The only way to remaster something and offer in Full HD is if you have source material that is in fact high definition otherwise it's just hazy, waxy stuff as you put it.

OTOH BelAmi knows their tech. They are the only porn studio that seems to know how to preserve their stuff and improve them. They remastered "Greek Holiday" and it looked gorgeous though I don't think it could be considered HD.

I believe they've been already working with 8K even though that format is not currently available on their website. So I guess we will always get some remasters here and there in the future. That's easy money if you think about it: same movie just different format. Though some people don't care about HD, I appreciate the extra definition and some of those guys really deserve to be seen in full glory.

Sometimes people will film in HD but then edit and release the videos in SD, because it is faster to edit on lower resolution... but I know on FCP even back in like 2005, you could edit the files in HD but have it displayed as SD so it went faster... but maybe they used AVID or the Sony editor (forgot what it is called).

I was tempted to get a BelAmi membership to see the scenes released this month but Mick’s back catalogue has been drastically deleted, his old videos are no longer featured ( what a shame)

I hope they keep coming those unreleased BTS and Scenes ( he didn’t possibly film for 3 years just the material we saw (there is definitely more !)

I am sure they will hold them and release them each end of the years as gifts



I was also wondering about his height in some he looks to be 190cm/6”3 like mentioned on his BelAmi’s profile but in certain scenes he looks to be 184cm/ 6” having the same height compared to other actors like Phillipe Gaudin or Rhys Jagger



I think he is around 187cm / 6”1-6”2 he definitely shorter than Dolph Lambert and Kris Evans whom are each respectively 189cm 6”2 and 193cm 6”4
