It starts pretty early when young boys show off to each other. Just being silly and because people cover themselves in public it's a curiosity. Then the body starts to change and they really get curious and cover a lot of it with goofy off and teasing. I remember camping out over night with boys in the neighborhood in a small wooded area behind one of their houses. They'd say things like whoever falls asleep first gets dick in his mouth but it never happened. Then we started showering together after gym class at school and they'd say if anybody got hard he must be queer. Etc, etc. Actually, there was a special needs kid who did sometimes but an older boy had told everybody to be cool about it or he'd kick their ass. He was kind of my hero after that.
