Wasn't escape the night one of the youtube studios casualties? As in, it was being made by youtube itself but then they shut down the production company and cancelled all the projects they were gonna do with youtubers. I think escape the night was one of those projects. I think markiplier had the last project that was still made by youtube

The last word on Escape the Night was they wanted to make a film version of it. He owns the intellectual property and is doing an online fundraiser to raise a quarter million dollars to fund it. Honestly, the show was a guilty pleasure despite it being SO sophomoric and vaguely racist. I'd watch.
