I can't believe this thread devolves into the same argument every other page. For the record: your own sense of humor isn't the standard by which every comedian must be judged. If you don't think he's funny, that's great. Some people find him funny and they're not wrong, they just have a different sense of humor than you.
I mean, if the other guy allowed to have a different opinion, let him express himself. It's not like Matt is feeding us daily with thirst traps

"Argument" seems like a strong word... You can't actually be shocked when people have discussions and share varying opinions on a platform that by definition is made for exactly that. Comedy is art and art is subjective. Entire pages can appear over night about who a celebrity is dating, their new hair style, upcoming project etc. it seems perfectly fine and expected that a thread about a comedian is going to have people discussing that person, their career and surrounding elements...

Makes sense but, lbr for a second, how many people do you think go to this show for the jokes? Pretty sure he would see the exact same turnout even if he posted his entire shtick word for word online because everyone is there coz he’s hot and they want to see him up close and in person. thats pretty true of a lot of stand up comedians on social media. they get pushed to put stuff on tiktok by management, but NONE of the want their jokes leaked/heard early. so they post crowd work.
