Openly Gay Australian Olympian Gold medalist diver Matthew Mitcham is so adorable. I would post pics of him but that is beyond my technical expertise. Can't tell if he is hung or not but sure would love to see if he has any nude pic on the web. Perhaps JasonDawg could help us out as he is the master at picture posting.

Congrats to Australia for producing not only such an incredible diver, but a truly brave and beautiful man. He is a national treasure, for sure.
That diving competition was as thrilling to watch as Michael Phelps' win over the Serbian.
He needed a perfect dive and he did a perfect dive. The look on the Chinese diver's face was sheer awe and then shame.

i would have thought that he managed to pull off the OR on the last dive under such competetive pressure with those amazing chinese divers would make them a little more adoring of him...

I am proud to be an aussie, I am proud to be gay and I am proud of Matt but why does the media have to mention he is gay everytime he is interviewed on TV? (especially today after his gold medal win) When they interviewed phelps, hackett etc do they bring up in the interview that they are straight?? I dont think so....

I don't think it's a bad thing that media report about him being openly gay. Hopefully he will be an inspiration to other young gay sportsmen and women to continue to develop their talent and not be ashamed of their sexuality. Also to parents of gay children.

I think openly gay athletes are great. I saw this one diving last night and he had just enough skip to his walk and shake to his ass to hint at it. He even did the jump and patty cake clap when he saw his scores. Adorable.

Heheh, I notice that there is no buzz at all about Beijing's
closing ceremony compared to it's opening. Ummm... like the worst
final of an American Idol episode was how I heard someone
describe it. A bit unfair from the bits I've seen but it didn't
blow my sox off, either.


Now, how about our Aussie, 20-year-old, openly gay, diving gold
medal winner, Matthew Mitcham? Matty is adorable and, as an
ex-pat Aussie, this made me so proud - of him, of my homeland,
and for gay athletes. Matty's courage and his lovely, bubbly
personality, is just remarkable.


All of Matty's 6 dives, plus the Olympic gold medal ceremony,
plus that kiss (that NBC did not show) can be seen in this one

The Advocate did a beautiful pictorial spread of Australian Gold-medalist diver Matthew Mitcham, who is quite a beauty himself. Matthew was the ONLY out gay athlete at the Beijing Olympics. Matthew turns 21 next month and is enjoying his "fame," but not his "fortune" since he has yet to garner any major commerical endorsements.
