@@BrunoPisaniAdventure Do you think the Monte Civetto circuit is safe / passable in about 2 weeks? I'm planning to hike on June 19th but concerned about snow. Do you recommend ice axe or microspices etc? Thanks and I love the video.
The second trip I have done multiple times. It is really one of the most beautiful valleys imaginable. And it's good to know that you consider it intermediate. That gives me a better idea how these tours scale. And I can only recommend everybody who wants to see the Tre Cime, to use this tour instead of driving right to the base of them from the south. This way you get a very rewarding hike that is not as overcrowded as the trail from the south. And the third hike I did with my parents as a child in two legs, just as you suggested. I remember looking down from Riffugio Tissi to Alleghe and the lake. But that is about all I can remember. I was very young.
Absolutely loved it. For me this is so useful to know hikes where you can do a loop as often when traveling, you hire a car and it's the easiest way to get to these places.
Thanks for the inspiration Bruno. My gf and I just completed the trail n°3 (july 2023). It is really beautiful. However, it is really physically demanding. We did it in two days for a total time of 15-16h. I do not now how it Can be done in one day and in 10h. We recommand stopping and sleeping at refugio Vazzoler rather than Tissi if you want to stop half Way and Split the hike equally. The ascent to Forcella Delle Sasse is terrible. We do not have a lot of hiking experience in the moutains but we think the times you give in the videos are not reallistic if you're not an athlete 😀
We did trail#3 in July 2022. It is amazing!! However, particular attention must be paid to the fact that the Tivan path has collapsed in several points and can be difficult and dangerous if you do not have high mountain experience. Furthermore, a landslide interrupts the path just before the Vazzoler refuge (it is only a few meters but can be difficult). None of these criticalities are reported along the trail.
planning to do trail #3 (Monte Civetta circuit) in July 2023. Does anyone know if the Tivan path has been repaired or if the landslide interruption just before the Vazzoler refuge is repaired? If these haven't been repaired, does this just imply a rough trail or the need for climbing-type equipment to pass these points? Thank you!
Completed the circuit last week of July 2023. Did it clockwise (Coldai - Vazzoler - Tissi - Coldai). Just before the long steep pass to reach the large plateau, the trail is still "collapsed" in the sense that there are several landslide areas that make the trail very loose and pitched. Also, there is little coverage along Tivan, so I'd plan to do this early in the morning before afternoon thunderstorms. Along the Tivan trail there is also a split in the trail by a rock painted "facile" (easy in italian). The "facile" path meets up with Tivan and only adds a little bit of distance. This gets you out of using the sketchiest part of the the iron ropes and iron foot pegs. Although, the chain section doesn't look particularly long, there was just one technical move that we didn't feel comfortable making in slick conditions and so choose the facile split. Also, I'd note that the downhill from the large plateau is very slow going because of how steep and rough the terrain is. @@Potatomasherdk

Ciao Bruno, ho fatto pochi fa il giro di corda da lago ed è stato uno spettacolo. Hi, i did the tre cime loop last September, it was not less than amazing , sight seen was absolutely spectacular. in one part of the hike i was filling my water bottle with running alpine water, that was such an experience!! I'm glad i made this hike. Just one thing really quick, you should mention that the difficult levels are for very experienced hikers. Bruno - So glad you are posting again! I hope Covid is soon gone for good in Italy because I always look forward to your amazing videos. THANK YOU for all of your hard work and for this great informational video on circular hikes.
A couple of fantastic one-day circular walks in that area are the Giro del Pelmo and the walk around Sassolungo. Both wonderful routes around spectacular peaks.
Very informative video, I only know about the famous hikes in Dolomites but I was looking for somthing different which I have found from your this video. Thanks for sharing and for the GPS files..
Fantastic video. I always hang out in the Trentino/Alto Adige part of Dolomites (Fassa especially), I should explore much more the Cortina side. I guess the third hike here (30 km !!!) is pretty impossible to do in one day unless you are doing some iron man competition. Plus the pressure to finish might take away something from the enjoyment. I like to stop (time and weather permitting) to meditate and take pictures. To those looking for another one or a suggestion for Bruno for next video: The Sasso Piatto / Sasso Lungo loop(s). That's one that you can do in one loop (more than 8 hours I guess) or break in two separate loops, one day on Sasso Lungo, another day on Sasso Piatto. On both loops you start and return at Passo Sella. In both cases you can choose to reach the Rifugio Demetz (first step in the trip) by hiking up (very steep and demanding and it does not necessarily add to the experience) or by taking a quick cable cabin (looks like a telephone cabin) but be aware that it oscillates quite a bit on windy days. In the Sasso Piatto one, you can choose to finish towards Rifugio Michelozzi and hike down the Val Duron to Campitello di Fassa, instead of going back to Passo Sella. It's a bit longer, but there is usually transportation from Michelozzi to Campitello if you want to skip the last bit. (I should add on a side note from two years ago, if you really decide to take transportation back from Michelozzi, try to avoid a specific one of those taxi vans - it's called "fox" or something - because it has messed-up suspensions, and since that unpaved fire road is bad, it's really hell for your back, especially after a long hiking day. Remember: avoid the fox taxi :)
Love the video. It is mind-blowing and inspiring. After finishing the Tour du Mont Blanc you inspired me to start walking in the Dolomites. The information you have added (GPX and parking area) is really useful. Thank you very much.
Do you want to join me in the Dolomites?

Loved the videos. Very helpful us in New Zealand when we come over for a visit next for biking and hiking.
Beautifully done and really useful information too. What an amazing place!
Love it! These are on my bucket list. Just visited New Zealand and Patagonia Chile. Italy might be next
oh yeah!!
Hi Bruno! That's great! The " Tre Cima Circut" is my favorite! I love this. But the Civetta i also must make in next time. Thanks for this video!
Yeah Civetta circuit is a true gem. thanks!
A couple of fantastic one-day circular walks in that area are the Giro del Pelmo and the walk around Sassolungo. Both wonderful routes around spectacular peaks.
Grazie per avermi portato un po' lì con la mente, ci voleva proprio.
Very informative video, I only know about the famous hikes in Dolomites but I was looking for somthing different which I have found from your this video. Thanks for sharing and for the GPS files..
Mate, that was just inspiring! I am adding this to my list and planning for 2025, I think. I really appreciate this!
riprese fantastiche!! e camminate assolutamente da fare al più presto
I’d love to walk these routes some day, beautiful 👍
yeah you should!
Thanks for this nice video and gps tracks. Amazing landscapes, perfect for photography. Also, your work is very good :)
